Description

This topoguide presents the Urban V path, traced at the time by Pope Urban V to go to the City of the Popes, it connects the village of Nasbinals in Aubrac to the town of Avignon in Vaucluse. The route passes through Aubrac, a volcanic and granite plateau; the Lot valley; the Causse de Mende and the foothills of Mont Lozère; the Tarn gorges; the Cévennes; the Roman aqueducts of Uzès and the Pont du Gard… It ends at the Popes Palace in Avignon, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
