The Pyrenees constitute an extraordinary adventure terrain for all hikers. The great diversity of landscapes, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, in France and Spain (without forgetting An-dorra), conceals and reveals such a richness of itineraries towards the summits that the selection established in these works will seem arbitrary to many mountain people.
These are not necessarily the fifty highest, but are certainly the most beautiful… The majority of them are accessible to average hikers, and others remain reserved for experienced hikers… In any case, these fifty summits are all indisputable for those who want to get to know the high places of the cordillera.
